People seem to think this can’t happen, however I think they mistake what it takes to be ever after. Presumably that it means some permanence, that they believe must be forever.

One might want the ideal, to think where happily is to be continuous or at all times. However in truth, to be happy at all times can cause one’s self to be lost. To be of one state of being, for any state,one will find that it becomes the norm. It will drone on and on. Becomes unbearable with the unending relentless joy.
But happily at any case or in any possible case, that is the happily ever after that I believe the wordsmith meant when they created this timeless phrase that has captivated humanity since it was first put on parchment. While writing the truth and leaving the hopeful to create their own narrates from the word, ambiguously phrased offering endless translations.
I’ve come to witness what true love and happily ever after can come in ways we never expected, never wanted, never fathomed possible. But in the deepest, darkest truths that exist, love in its rawest form can be misguided and disillusioned. But it is still real, all the same.
