Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, is a chronic neurological syndrome characterized by:
  • severe burning pain
  • pathological changes in bone and skin
  • excessive sweating
  • tissue swelling
  • extreme sensitivity to touch
  • This is a progressive disorder that if caught in time, can be put in remission. This rarely caught in time. Many people see over 5 doctors before proper diagnosis. SO it is important that more people know about this disorder to ensure that we add fewer people to this list of sufferers. It's been found in children as young as 2.5 years old and is dibilitating. Testing and analysis can be done to verify and if caught early enough treatments can help slow down the progression. But you need to know the signs to have a chance to protect yourself and loved ones.
